Crow’s Feet

These are cluster of tiny wrinkles and lines around outer corner of the eyes. They could be dynamic or static. These occur due to contraction of muscles around the eyes.

Leading causes include:

  • Age - Commonly seen after 30 years of age
  • Sun Exposure - Constant exposure over the years causes loss of collagen and elasticity.
  • Squinting - Due to involuntary contractions of muscles of the eyes
  • Smoking
  • Stress
  • Menopause - Loss of collagen and hence elasticity.

  • Topical creams helps in reduction of fine lines
  • Injection of Botu-linum-toxin - Works on dynamic wrinkles.
  • Fillers help with static wrinkles.
  • Use of sunscreen and moisturizer is recommended to prevent further wrinkles.
