InUrSkn is more than just a skin a hair and body clinic. It is Dr. Sejal's promise of providing minimal intervention patient care which is holistic, personalized and humane.
Microblading is the procedure in which a hand held tool is used along with medical grade colouring pigments to deposit colour into deeper layers of the skin. Typically this procedure is used for masking certain medical conditions and also as long lasting makeup in some cases.
Patients with the below conditions can consider medical microblading:
1. People suffering from mild vitiligo and not benefiting from other forms of repigmentation therapy
2. Patients with small patches of localized hair loss.
3. Patients having other form of hypopigmentation.
4. People having undergone chemotherapy or any other trauma causing loss of eyebrows
Also people desiring aesthetic improvements for below conditions can benefit from microblading:
1. Having thin eyebrows and desiring more defined eyebrows
2. Having discoloured lips
3. Wanting to create beauty spots
In the procedure the doctor creates cuts in the outer layers of the skin to access the deeper layers and deposits colour pigment into these layers. Since the pigment has penetrated deeper into these layers it does not clear away easily. In most cases the results can last for upto 6 months after which touch ups or a redo may be needed.
1. Your treating doctor discusses the desired outcome and explains the limitations of the procedure to you.
2. An anesthetic cream is applied to the target area.
3. The doctor then uses a microblading tool to make tiny cuts in the treatment area and continues to deposit the colour pigment.
4. The pigment is allowed to be absorbed for a few minutes and then the excess pigment is swiped away.
The process of microblading depends on the treating doctor or aesthetician. There are two factors that determine the success of the procedure, namely:
1. The skill and experience of the doctor with the procedure, such that it is done correctly from a technical point of view and the deposited pigment lasts for the desired period of time.
2. The ability of the doctor to artistically deposit the pigments such that the outcome looks natural.
But one must be aware that this is only pigment / colour deposition and any close observation of the treated area will reveal this as the natural textures of the treated area cannot be replicated.
Microblading is effectively done on the upper layers of the skin and hence in general the side effects are localized. These can include:
– Local Skin Infections
– Skin Allergy to the pigments used
– Pain and Swelling that can last for upto 1 week.

Microblading involves depositing pigment into the upper layers of the skin using a fine blade, making it semi-permanent. Traditional tattooing goes deeper and is permanent.
