Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that naturally occurs in the deeper layers of your skin. The occurrence of this compound is one of the primary reasons for your skin to remain, taut, supple and fresh. But with ageing and other lifestyle choices like smoking, there is a reduction in the HA levels in the skin.
To help compensate for this loss of HA levels, a Hyaluronic product called Volite is injected into the middle layers of the skin. This helps hydrate the skin from within and helps in improving the elasticity and suppleness of the skin as it also promotes collagen synthesis.

At InUrSkn we use HA injections called Volite. Volite is made by an american company called Allergan. Volite is simply a skin conditioning gel suitable to be injected into the middle layers of the skin. Volite is often confused to be a filler, It is not. While fillers work mainly towards generating volume, volite works towards providing nutrition and conditioning to the skin.
HA injectables help replenish the natural HA loss in the skin and hence help in the following ways:
a. It directly hydrates the skin because of the ability of HA molecules to attract and hold large amounts of water molecules.
b. It helps stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis and hence improves the elasticity and tautness of the skin.
The following steps are typically followed in a HA injection procedure:
1. The skin is cleaned with a mild cleanser
2. A numbing cream is applied to reduce any mild pricking sensation that may occur.
3. Dr. Sejal marks the spots where micro injections are to be given.
4. Then these marked sites are injected almost painlessly.
5. The skin is cleansed finally.

Probably the best thing about this procedure is that there is virtually no down time. However similar to any skin procedure, it is advisable to take a few precautions like:
Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 days.
Wear a broad spectrum sunscreen.
Use a moisturiser.
Use a mild face wash.
Do not scrub or rub your skin.
Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.
Do not wax, thread or bleach for 7 to 10 days
Do not undergo any salon or spa procedure for upto 72 hours.
