Meso Skin Therapy

What is
Meso Skin Therapy?

Meso skin therapy, also known as mesotherapy, is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that involves delivering a customized cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and hyaluronic acid into the middle layers of the skin using a variety of techniques, including injections or ionization. This treatment is designed to rejuvenate the skin, improve its texture and tone, and address a variety of skin issues.

The serum used in meso skin therapy contains a variety of growth factor proteins that stimulate cellular regeneration, boost collagen and elastin production, and improve skin elasticity. This helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin firmness, and enhance overall skin texture and tone. Additionally, meso skin therapy can also help to reduce pigmentation, brighten the complexion, and improve skin hydration.

Who should opt for
Meso Skin Therapy

If you are concerned about the texture of your skin or its elasticity and have any of the below conditions, Mesotherapy may be suitable for you.

If you are concerned about signs of ageing showing on your face and have any of the below conditions, Mesotherapy may be suitable for you.

Working Principle of
Mesotherapy

At InUrSkn we use two different types of meso serums, which aid in the below manner.

1. The first type of serum is rich in antioxidants and helps in reducing pigmentation related concerns, leading to an even skin tone.

2. The second type of serum is largely used for hydration purposes and hence helps with improving the elasticity and suppleness of the skin.

Both the serums can be delivered either through an iontophoresis mechanism (ionization) or through micro Injections at strategic locations across the face.

Meso Serums can also be used to enhance the effects of a micro needling procedure to improve the texture of the skin and to reduce scars and pits.

Know More About
Meso Skin Therapy

The following steps are typically followed in a mesotherapy procedure:

– The skin is cleaned with a mild cleanser.

– Dr. Sejal identifies the exact serum suitable for your skin and for your needs.

– Dr. Sejal also identifies the best delivery mechanism for the serum as either micro injections or ionization.

– In case of ionization, the meso serum is applied on the skin followed by use of an ionization probe to open up the pores and ensure absorption.

– In case of micro injections, Dr. Sejal proceeds with injecting small volumes of meso serum across the face.

– The skin is cleansed again and an anti-inflammatory cream is applied.

– A soothing hydrating mask is applied.

– Lastly a moisturizer and sunscreen is applied.

Probably the best thing about this procedure is that there is virtually no down time. However similar to any skin procedure, it is advisable to take a few precautions like:

Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 days.

Wear a broad spectrum sunscreen.

Use a moisturiser.

Use a mild face wash.

Do not scrub or rub your skin.

Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.

Do not wax, thread or bleach for 7 to 10 days

Do not undergo any salon or spa procedure for 7 to 10 days.

Results can be expected at limited levels from the first session onwards. Based on the serum chosen the expected results can be:

– A more even skin tone with reduction in marks and blemishes.

– A more supple and hydrated skin which feels firmer.

To see an absolutely visible result, Dr. Sejal recommends undergoing at least 4 treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart along with a proper at home skin care routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mesotherapy has been in use since 1952. Also the process works on the middle layers of the skin and hence the effects are localized and not systemic. This makes the procedure very safe for most individuals.

All types of skin treatments have results which are additive in nature, which means that as one keeps undergoing the procedure along with application of topical medications and serums at home, the more improvement in the condition of the skin becomes visible. However it is important to understand that exposure to environment and bad lifestyle choices can hamper the recovery of your skin and reverse the positive effects of any skin rejuvenation procedure.

This is an absolute myth. There is no degradation in the condition of your skin in case one stops any skin rejuvenation treatment.

Dr. Sejal recommends that initially a series of 4 treatments can be planned about 3 to 4 weeks apart for this procedure. In addition Dr. Sejal will recommend an at home skin care regimen to follow. This leads to optimum results from the procedure.

There is no down time associated with this procedure You can return to work and regular activities immediately after the procedure. However it is recommended to not have direct sun exposure and any other beauty treatments for upto 48 hours.
