Hydrafacial - The Ultimate Facial

Exfoliates - Revitalizes - Brightens - Tightens

What is
Hydrafacial?

A Hydrafacial is a comprehensive, multi-step facial treatment designed to rejuvenate and enhance skin health for a fresher, healthier, and more youthful appearance.

This advanced facial begins with thorough cleansing and exfoliation, effectively removing dead skin cells and impurities to reveal a smoother, clearer complexion. Following this, the skin is revitalized with a blend of hydrating and brightening serums, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, which nourish and invigorate the skin.

The treatment then focuses on promoting collagen production and skin firmness through specialized techniques, contributing to improved skin elasticity and reduction of fine lines.

The final steps of the Hydrafacial involve soothing the skin and ensuring the deep penetration of the serums into the skin layers, providing lasting hydration and protection.

This meticulously designed procedure, known for its immediate and noticeable results, is tailored to suit various skin types and concerns, making it a popular choice for those seeking a non-invasive yet effective skincare solution.

Who can benefit from a
Hydrafacial?

If you have any of the below concerns you may benefit from a hydrafacial.

Hydrafacial can also benefit patients with the below mentioned concerns

Patients with active acne or acne scars also benefit from hydrafacial, as the procedure targets the texture of the skin and also cleanses the skin. The cleansing action ensures reduction in bacterial growth, while the exfoliation and skin tightening action ensures that pores are not blocked and closed.

What is the working mechanism of
Hydrafacial?

1. The first few steps of hydrafacial aim at deep cleaning and exfoliating the skin gently. This helps get rid any build up of sebum, dirt & sweat on the skin. These steps also help remove dead skin cells, whiteheads, blackheads etc.

2. The next steps of hydrafacial aim at infusing hydrating and brightening serums into the deeper layers of the skin with the help of oxyjets and ionization (iontophoresis).

3. The third set of steps involve using two different probes, which use ultrasound and Rf technology to aid in activation of collagen and elastin formation and also tightening the skin.

4. The final set of steps are aimed at soothing the skin and also closing the pores of the skin such that the moisture and serums stay locked in for maximum absorption and effect.

Know more about
Hydrafacial

The following 11 steps are typically followed in a hydrafacial:

1. The skin is cleaned with a mild cleanser

2. Aqua Peel is done for gentle yet thorough exfoliation

3. The pores in the skin are opened up using the warming probe.

4. A medical cleanup is carried out

5. A vitamin C serum or brightening serum (based on the needs of the patient) is applied in a controlled manner using a oxygen jet.

6. The serums are infused deeper into the skin using ionization probe.

7. A sonos probe is used along with a hydrating agent to stimulate collagen generation.

8. A triploar probe is used along with a hydrating agent to tighten the skin.

9. Ice Cooled Probe is used to soothe the skin and close the pores and lock in the moisture

10. A soothing mask is applied to further relax the skin.

11. The final step is to apply a moisturizer and sunscreen to ensure that treated area is protected from the environment and sun damage.

Probably the best thing about this procedure is that there is virtually no down time. However similar to any skin procedure, it is advisable to take a few precautions like:

Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 days.

Wear a broad spectrum sunscreen.

Use a moisturiser.

Use a mild face wash.

Do not scrub or rub your skin.

Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.

Do not wax, thread or bleach for 7 to 10 days

Do not undergo any salon or spa procedure for upto 72 hours.

After a hydrafacial, most patients report an improvement in the suppleness of their skin along with brightening of the skin. There is also a general reduction in marks and blemishes on the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

The procedure is safe for almost all people. But since it uses different techniques for physical exfoliation, serum infusion and collagen stimulation some people may experience mild redness and swelling, which tends to subside in 2 to 3 hours.

Hydrafacial is an additive process, which means that as one keeps undergoing the procedure along with application of topical medications and serums at home, the more improvement in the condition of the skin becomes visible. However it is important to understand that exposure to environment and bad lifestyle choices can hamper the recovery of your skin and reverse the positive effects of any skin rejuvenation procedure.

This is an absolute myth. There is no degradation in the condition of your skin in case one stops any skin rejuvenation treatment.

Dr. Sejal recommends that initially a series of 4 to 6 hydrafacial treatments can be planned about 3 to 4 weeks apart. After which one can plan on a hydrafacial treatment once in 3 to 6 months as maintenance.

Since this is a localized treatment, this is very safe for both lactating mothers and pregnant women.

The serums used in the procedure are either hydrating serums or antioxidant serums. These are not serums that can have harmful effects on your skin like a bleach etc.

A Hydrafacial treatment typically takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on the specific needs of the individual.

No, there is no downtime associated with Hydrafacial, and individuals can resume their regular activities immediately after the treatment.

Yes, Hydrafacial can be combined with other skincare treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser skin rejuvenation to further enhance its benefits.

Yes, Hydrafacial can help reduce the appearance of pores by removing excess oil and debris from the skin.

Yes, Hydrafacial is suitable for individuals of all ages who want to improve the health and appearance of their skin.

Yes, Hydrafacial can be used on the body to improve the appearance and texture of the skin on areas such as the back, chest, and arms.

It is recommended to wait at least 6 hours after a Hydrafacial treatment before applying makeup to allow the skin to fully absorb the treatment benefits.
